Kylie Minogue Profile
Name: Kylie Minogue
In 1988, Kylie signed with producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman and achieved a string of hit records throughout the world. Her duet with Jason Donovan, “Especially For You” was a major success in the UK selling over 1 million copies in 1989. Her popularity began to decline during the early 1990s, leading her to part company from Stock, Aitken & Waterman in 1992. Kylie distanced herself from her earlier work and successfully began to establish herself as a credible and independent performer and songwriter.
In 2001 she released her album Fever, which combined disco with electropop. Its lead single “Cant Get You Out Of My Head” became the biggest success of her career and reached number one in over twenty countries and sold more than four million copies worldwide. In 2003 she received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Recording for “Love At First Sight” and the following year won the same award for “Come Into My World”.
