In February 2000, Lost Prophets signed with Visible Noise and the bands first album Thefakesoundofprogress was then released in July. It was recorded in less than 2 weeks for a mere £5000.
In April 2007, the band embarked on a UK Arena tour that included the venues, Glasgow SECC, Manchester MEN and Wembley Arena.
In August of the same year, they won The Best British Band award in the Kerrang Awards for the second year in a row, beating Muse, Biffy Clyro and Funeral For A Friend.
